Origin of the name:
To the time of Romans the Region was called Venetia from the name of the ancient people that lived it. This region was also called Venice Euganea, derived always from ancient inhabitants (Euganei) that were absorbed then by Venetian ones. With Venice Tridentina and Venice Giulia, Venice Euganea forms the so-called ‘Three Venezie '.

BRENTA STAGIONATO 2 LB

This cheese takes its name from the river Brenta that runs through Trentino Alto-Adige and the Veneto region to the Adriatic Sea. It is a cheese born of the ancient cheesemaking tradition of northeastern Italy. It is a creamery type of cheese. The milk is collected locally from the Italian Alps where the variety of grasses is unique. Brenta‘s flavor is sweet, full-bodied, and herbaceous, but not overpowering. It tastes of fresh milk. Brenta ages for at least two months and its texture is semi-hard to hard. Our Brenta Stagionato, the aged version, is matured between four to six months.

In the 1920, at the end of WW1, Doria starts producing home-made baked products in ten different bakeries split in the italian Triveneto, which were the background to Doria's first industrial plant in Sarmede, near Treviso.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - sugar - vegetable fats and oils - wheat starch - glucose syrup - eggs - skimmed milk powder - honey - salt - raising agents: ammonium bicarbonate, sodium hydrogencarbonate - antioxidant agent: soyalecithin - flavourings.
